Palliative Physician in Dallas, TX – Full Time + Benefits Positions
Our company is seeking physicians with a passion for end-of-life care to join our team as a Palliative Physician. You will be providing high quality patient centered care through an interdisciplinary team approach to patients in Hospital and inpatient environment.
The Palliative Care Physician provides consultation in palliative care, symptom and supportive care to meet the needs of the patient as requested by the referring physician.
Prescribes medications, orders diagnostics and treatments according to patients palliative care needs and in collaboration with the referring physician.
Prepares and maintains accurate patient records, charts and documents to support the medical practice and reimbursement for services provided.
Educates facility staff, co-workers and the community on all aspects of palliative care services.
Supervises palliative care nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree with current license to practice in the state where the hospice program in located
Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or other related specialty with a working knowledge of the principles of palliative medicine and symptom management
Registration with the Drug Enforcement Agency to write scheduled prescriptions
Medical malpractice and liability insurance in amounts and with carriers satisfactory the Company
Hospice and Palliative Medicine board certified or board eligible preferred.
