Banner Occupational Health Clinics are medical clinics specializing in worker's compensation injury care, drug testing, alcohol testing, physical examinations, Department of Transportation exams and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandated exams. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides a variety of secretarial and clerical support for a department or several departments. The incumbent uses standing instructions to complete their tasks.
CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Provides secretarial and clerical support which may include, but is not limited to, composing correspondence, maintaining/ordering office supplies, answering telephone calls, making appointments, coordinating meetings/travel arrangements, taking meeting minutes, maintaining files (which may be confidential in nature), making copies, sending faxes, etc.
2. Inputs and maintains data in computer system, using discretion when data is confidential. May use various personal computer software programs, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. to produce high quality reports, presentations or other documents.
3. May act as a receptionist to include, but not limited to, greeting and directing visitors/patients, answering incoming calls, relaying messages.
4. This position generally has responsibility in a single facility but may provide support for one or several departments. Unusual situations require supervisor involvement. This position has frequent interaction with, but is not limited to, employees/physicians, patients, visitors, community agencies, vendors, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
Excellent communication and human relations skills are necessary. The incumbent must have a strong knowledge of office practices and procedures, business terminology, excellent grammar and spelling, and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Good organizational skills are essential in prioritizing and coordinating various responsibilities simultaneously. Must be able to work with periodic supervision.
Must have the ability to utilize word processing and other software applications with speed and accuracy. Employees working at the Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS One to two years related secretarial/clerical support experience is preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
