Role Purpose
This role manages the human and financial resources of the Remote Operations Center (ROC) department; guides the daily operation of the department to ensure performance and goals are achieved. The manager takes initiative to anticipate the needs of the ROC department while also keeping the system in mind. Is responsible for developing relationships across the different HSOs, and ensuring appropriate communication and information is exchanged with all facilities departments involved.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
Manages the ROC department?s dashboard to develop a schedule of activities for the field technicians across the system to ensure the department?s needs are met and the service level agreement is honored.
Identifies and implements initiatives focused on increasing the operational efficiencies of the chiller plants located across BJC?s East region.
Leads the ROC department?s steering committee to ensure better coordination between the facilities departments across the system.
Manages and coordinates the duties of the East Region field technicians in the support of East region HSOs and implementation and sustainability of implemented operational efficiencies.
Based on HSO operational assessments, develops and coordinates training of HSO-based plant operators to ensure their skillsets align with technology changes.
