WMCHealth Network is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our Abdominal Transplant Satellite Practices. This provider will provide evaluation and management for pre and post liver and kidney transplant candidates and recipients, as well as caring for patients with advanced hepatology disease. Incumbent will travel to various satellite locations to see patients. Responsibilities include evaluating outpatients, coordinating their transplant work up , educating patients about transplant so they may be listed. Following transplant, incumbent will monitor patients and manage immunosuppression in collaboration with a Transplant physician. The provider will also see complex hepatology patients to navigate their care. This is a part time exempt position, with availability needed Monday through Friday. No weekends or on call required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- A current New York State license as a Adult Nurse Practitioner;
- Experience in Nephrology, Hepatology , or Transplant is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize heavy workload
